  3. If she/he is of unreliable intellect and stands so announced by honorable court.
  4.  If she/he is ineligible under any act passed by the Indian Parliament.
  5. If she/he not a civilian of India.

1) Rajya Sabha

Before Rajya Sabha name was the Council of State. The Hindi name Rajya Sabha was recognized by the Council of State in 1954. Other names of Rajya Sabha are Elder’s House, Upper House, the council of State, Second Chamber.

The maximum limit of Upper House is inlay at 250. Out of 250, 238 members are to be delegates of the state of India and Union Territories.12 members are nominated by President of India.

Before Lok Sabha name was House of People. The Hindi name Lok Sabha was recognized by the House of People in 1954. Other names of Lok Sabha are Lower House, House of People, Popular House, Second Chamber.

The maximum limit of Upper House is inlay at 552. Out of 552,530 members are to be delegates of the state of India and 20 members are delegates of the Union Territories. Zero members (It’s called as Anglo-Indian) are nominated by President of India (104th constitutional amendment act,2020)

Current situation, the Lowe House has 543 members and 530 members delegate the state, 13 members delegate the U.T.(Union Territories).

131 seats are reserved for delegates of SC and ST. Scheduled Casted(SC) has representatives of 84 seats and Scheduled Tribes(ST) has representatives of 47 seats in only Lok Sabha. No reservation is available Rajya Sabha.
